Henderson scores 15 as Niagara rallies to beat Fairfield 65-63

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Ahmad Henderson II scored 15 points and Niagara held Fairfield scoreless over the final 1:59 to rally for a 65-63 victory on Friday night.

Henderson made 6 of 13 shots with two 3-pointers for the Purple Eagles (13-11, 9-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Kwane Marble II had 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Harlan Obioha scored 11 on 5-for-6 shooting.

Alex Yetna and Jalen Leach both scored 14 to lead the Stags (15-10, 9-5). Yetna added nine rebounds. Caleb Fields scored 13.

Fields sank 1 of 2 free throws with 1:59 remaining to tie the game at 63. Marble made the first of two foul shots with 1:42 left to give Niagara the lead. Henderson made 1 of 2 with four seconds to go to cap the scoring.
