Dixon scores 17, grabs 10 rebounds to help Duquesne beat Saint Joseph’s 66-56

PITTSBURGH (AP) — David Dixon’s 17 points and 10 rebounds helped Duquesne defeat Saint Joseph’s 66-56 on Saturday.

Jimmy Clark III scored 15 points while shooting 6 for 11, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc for the Dukes (15-10, 5-7 Atlantic 10 Conference). Dae Dae Grant finished with 11 points.

Cameron Brown finished with 18 points for the Hawks (16-10, 6-7). Saint Joseph’s (PA) also got 11 points from Lynn Greer III. Xzayvier Brown also had eight points, six rebounds and five steals.

Duquesne took the lead with 9:25 left in the first half and never looked back. Clark led his team in scoring with 10 points in the first half to help put them ahead 31-23 at the break. Duquesne used an 8-0 run in the second half to build a 17-point lead at 56-39 with 5:48 left.
